Our mission is to support and enrich the experience of the customers, communities, businesses and industries we engage with every day.
Moorabbin Airport is a safe and welcoming site, and we interact with individuals and groups in the local area through the Goodman Foundation with a number of programs and services that benefit the community.
The Goodman Foundation unites our people, properties and resources to make a tangible difference to the lives of people in our communities.
Through our partnerships with an exceptional - and often grassroots - group of charities, we're able to make a real difference, where and when it matters most. Learn more here.
At Moorabbin, long-term airport activities and opportunities are planned to deliver sustainable aviation, employment, economic growth and infrastructure outcomes to the south-east Victorian sub-region and State.
Aviation-related infrastructure is provided in a highly urbanised setting supporting:
Moorabbin Airport through the Goodman Foundation has been supporting St Kilda Football Club for over three years; an initiative representing our commitment to creating cohesive communities and widespread employment opportunities. In 2019, St Kilda Football Club and Moorabbin Airport joined forces to launch a landmark multicultural schools’ program across Melbourne’s southern suburbs called the All-Nations program.
The All-Nations program encourages youth in these culturally diverse areas to engage in physical activity and provides access to personal development training and opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Moorabbin has since extended its partnership to include the Junior and Elite Talent pathways programs, providing thousands of youth access to practical football skills, expert advice, education opportunities, and mental and physical health support.
FareShare is an Australian food rescue organisation that transforms rescued, donated and homegrown food into millions of healthy meals for Australians experiencing financial hardship.
In 2016, Moorabbin Airport and Goodman Foundation donated an unused plot of land at the airport to FareShare for growing vegetables, greens and herbs, known as FareShare Kitchen Garden.
Meals are prepared using produce from the garden and are then distributed to charities operating in proximity to Moorabbin Airport including Casey Adventist Development and Relief Agency, Kingston City Church and Dandenong Foodshare.
The Kitchen Garden not only provides fresh vegetables, it also offers an opportunity for the local community to participate in the garden maintenance. Volunteers typically include school children and retirees.
This initiative exemplifies how we can enhance our on-site environment for the benefit of local communities, optimising green space to bring fresh food to the tables of those in need.
The Australian National Aviation Museum showcases an incredible collection of Australian and international aviation artefacts from aircraft, engines, early airline uniforms, photographs and books.
Located at Moorabbin Airport, the museum is recognised as Australia’s only true National Aviation Collection.
