Moorabbin Airport Corporation (MAC) is thrilled to support the upcoming Aviation Career Youth Expo, organised by Moorabbin Air Museum. To be hosted on Saturday 9 September at the Museum, the Youth Expo will offer a unique opportunity for students and families to meet with organisations from many areas of the aviation industry, and to get all of the information required to help young people interested in aviation decide on what career path they might like to pursue in the future. A day which will be both informative and fun for all members of the family, the Expo will be set among the Museum’s significant collection of almost 50 aircraft and heritage artefacts – including many of which are open for visitors to touch, feel, climb into and explore. A long-term supporter and sponsor of Moorabbin Air Museum, which is located within the Moorabbin aviation precinct, MAC will be providing a sausage sizzle for all attendees to enjoy, complementing the Museum’s offering of models, books and souvenirs for guests to purchase. MAC CEO Paul Ferguson says:
The Youth Careers Expo will be an inspiring event that will open the doors for greater accessibility for students and families to explore a career in aviation, or to simply appreciate Australia’s illustrious aviation heritage.
We are proud to support our tight-knit community of aviation customers within the Moorabbin Airport precinct, and together look forward to collaborating with our aviation customers to support broad-scale engagement and awareness of our industry.
Continued investment and support for the Museum is provided under MAC’s Master Plan. Our vision is to enhance the Airport’s community focus and volunteer culture by expanding the Museum site by 50 per cent with a modernised facility that will see its full collection of aircraft housed entirely under roof for the first time.Join us from 10am to 5pm, alongside other organisations like Swinburne University, Qantas Engineer Apprentice Program, Boeing and RAAF, and discover what an exciting future in the aviation industry could look like. The event is free to attend, however bookings are essential for the day. To reserve your tickets, please click here.
